IDIOMS, Jan. 3rd, 2013



There are three idioms that use the word for different types of INSECTS:

1. I remember feeling myself knee-high to a grasshopper while holding my tall fathers hand.
2. I got butterflies in my stomach when I was standing for the first time in front of a room full of customers to present our companies software implementation method.
3. My sons had ants in their pants while having to wait for their Christmas concert performance.

SARA: Great use of the idioms--note the following grammar: father's (it's possessive) and company's (singular possessive).
