Learning to combine ideas into more complex sentences is an important
skill in writing. There are many ways to do this--many possible bonus points!
Try to combine the following three sentences.
Sentence 1: Children were not in school for April Fool’s Day this year.
Sentence 2: Most of their practical jokes were restricted to their homes and
families.
Sentence 3: Parents probably wished that their children were in
school.

This year's April Fool's Day fell on a holiday, and parents were probably wishing that their children were in school, since most practical jokes were now resticted to homes and families.

Although parents probably wished that their children were in school, children were not in school for April Fool’s Day this year; most of their practical jokes were restricted to their homes and families.
PEGGY: Yes, but note the spelling errors (no correction needed).
ALEXEY: Good--but a transition between the clauses would have helped (no correction needed).
