*ACTIVE vs. PASSIVE*

Write two sentences using the verb incriminate.

In the first sentence, use the word in the active voice; in the second sentence, use it in the passive voice.

1. Active - The video helped incriminate John.
2. Passive - John was incriminated by the video.

1. Active - The testimony that was spoken by the plaintiff did indeed incriminate the defendant.
2. Passive - The defendant had been incriminated by the testimony.
