HALF-WAY THERE CHALLENGE!

This is an exercise in advanced sentence combining. It is designed for students who have completed Lesson 9 in the course.

Sentence 1: The students eagerly exchanged information about how to work together on the presentation they were making.

Sentence 2: They posted their information and ideas to a wiki they had created specifically for that presentation.

Grammar:

1.    Use a gerund to combine the sentences.
2.    Use an infinitve to combine the sentences.

1. Gerund
The students eagerly exchanged information about how to work together on the presentation they were making; consequently, they started posting their information and ideas to a wiki they had created specifically for that presentation.

2. Infinitive
The students eagerly exchanged information about how to work together on the presentation they were making, and they decided to post their information and ideas to a wiki they had created specifically for that presentation.

Okay, you used a gerund and an infinitive as requested!

But I was expecting something more like the following:

Gerund: Posting their information and ideas to a wiki they had created specifically for that presentation, the students eagerly exchanged information about how to work together on the presentation they were making

Infinitive: To post their information and ideas to a wiki they had created specifically for that presentation, the students eagerly exchanged information about how to work together on the presentation they were making.
