*SENTENCE COMBINATION*
Learning to combine ideas into more complex sentences is an important writing skill. There are many ways to do this. Try to combine the following three sentences.
Sentence 1: Stores are now getting ready for Valentine’s Day.
Sentence 2: Christmas decorations are finally being taken down.
Sentence 3: No sooner is one festival over than the next one begins.

No sooner is one festival over than the next one begins; accordingly, the Christmas decorations are finally being taken down, for the stores are now getting ready for Valentine's Day.
No sooner is one festival over than the next one begins, and while Christmas decorations are finally being taken down, stores are now getting ready for Valentine’s Day.
But, Sabrina, try to avoid using the semi-colon in these exercises. Technically, you have created a single sentence; but you missed the challenge.
Liudmila, I'm not sure about the logic of your conjunction ("and").
Here is another possibility:
No sooner is one festival over than the next one begins: Christmas decorations are finally being taken down, and stores are now getting ready for Valentine’s Day
The colon is often used to expand or elaborate on a claim. Here, it establishes the following clauses as reasons for author's initial statement.

Good try, both of you.
