Sentence 1: It was good to have another three-day weekend, but I was sick.

Sentence 2: When we finished to work on Friday night, it was good to have another three-day weekend.

Sentence 3: It was good to have another three-day weekend even though I had to babysit on Sunday.

Good try, Audrey, but your first sentence adds an independent clause (rather than a phrase) and your third sentence uses a dependent clause (rather than an independent one).

Your second sentence is correct except for the use of the preposition ("to"); you want to say "finished work".
