**NUMBER CHANGE, March 19th, 2013**

If a sentence is singular, change it to the plural; if it is plural, change it to the singular.

A rabbit is hiding under a shrub in my garden; it seems to sleep there for an hour at least each afternoon. It looks like a patch of snow as the rabbit hasn’t yet started to change colour. When spring comes, I don’t want the rabbit in my garden as it will eat any tender shoot that comes up through the soil.

**TIME CHANGE, March 19th, 2013**

Change the time (verb tense) in the following sentence; replace any time clue words as necessary.

I am on my way to a party for my sister’s birthday. I have to drive across town, so I am allowing myself forty minutes for that, but I hear on the radio that there is an accident on the freeway that may delay me. I have my cell phone with me, so I can phone to tell her about the situation.

Note that there is more than one way to do this, and each student should choose a different time frame with different time clues.
